TimeTree App Allows Caregivers, Senior Clients to Easily Manage Schedules

Senior caregivers may find it difficult at times to remember everything going on with their senior clients. From doctor's appointments to family visits to coordinating work schedules, it's easy for the dates and times to blur together. Coordinating with the senior client's family also requires effective communication. The TimeTree app gives caregivers the ability to easily create and share calendars with other people.

When users first download the TimeTree app, they need to create an account by creating an initial calendar. This can be for general events or for something specific, like doctor's appointments. Caregivers also need to select a color to easily color code the events associated with that calendar.

Once they've done that, caregivers can invite others to collaborate on the calendar with them. This is ideal for those who work closely with senior clients' families to coordinate events and work schedules. Family members can also go in and keep any doctor's visits and other appointments up to date. The invite to use the calendar will be sent to them directly via email.

Once caregivers reach the home screen, they can add an event to the calendar by clicking the giant plus sign on the bottom center of the screen. Users can then fill in the requested information, including event title, date, time, notification time and more. The notification will remind caregivers of the event, and they can pick how far in advance. The default is 15 minutes, but caregivers may want to change it to an hour in advance to allow plenty of time to get where they need to be.

There are two calendar views available. Caregivers can view the entire month at a glance or pull up events in a detailed list organized from events happening soon to those happening farther out. If caregivers have multiple calendars, they can switch between them on the left panel in the app. Caregivers may find this particularly useful if they want to keep a shared calendar for their senior clients and a personal calendar for their own schedule outside of work.

The TimeTree App is available for Apple and Android platforms.

Organize and Prioritize To Do Lists and Tasks In One App

Caregivers have a lot to balance between caring for their senior client and taking care of their personal lives. Particularly for caregivers who work with multiple senior clients, remembering and prioritizing every task can be difficult. The Centrallo app offers an organizational tool for important e-mails, to do lists, notes, etc.

When users first launch the Centrallo app, it takes a minute to tap around and figure out all the different categories and how all the information is stored within. The first area within the app works as an inbox for important e-mails and information. When a user thinks of something they'll need to remember later on the go, they can create a new inbox note for later viewing. Every note and list item within the app offers the ability to attach a picture, an outside file or even a voice memo. Unlike other organizational apps, this feature allows users to store all pertinent information and files in one to do note and prioritize it for later use. For senior caregivers in particular, this app gives the ability to store an important document needed for a doctor's visit electronically or snap a photo while out and about to later share with a senior client's loved ones.

The other main area of the app consists of lists for users to create and use for themselves or share with others. Senior caregivers could again use this feature to share a to do list with loved ones of a senior client to note that they picked up a prescription but you're taking the client to a doctor's appointment, etc. The list area is slightly counterintuitive in that items cannot be marked as completed by tapping on the circle to the left of each item, but instead by swiping left on the line and selecting the check mark that appears. Once an items has been completed, it stays on the list screen but appears with a strike out line through it.

Inbox items and list items appear on the priority screen when a user selects the star icon on the individual item. They also appear highlighted in read on the list screen for quick self organization when deciding which task to complete. Overall, the Centrallo app provides an organized way for caregivers to keep track of to do lists, important emails and upcoming appointments.

The Centrallo app is available for Apple and Android platforms.

Organize Your Schedule, E-mails and To-Do List Using Central App

Keeping one effective to do list can be tricky if your main source of organization is your e-mail account. With new e-mails coming in all the time from the company that you bought something from once six months ago, the important stuff can get buried between the junk. Using the Handle app, senior caregivers can create specific To Do lists based on their e-mails and organize their calendar effectively.

Users can begin by importing their existing e-mail accounts and calendars for in-app organization. The app will then organize tasks based on what day they need to be completed and display them in categories on the home screen based on due dates such as "This Morning" and "Next Week." Users can view their e-mail account from within the app and when they receive a message with a new To-Do task, they can simply swipe right on the e-mail line in the app to create a To-Do, Reminder or Add to the Calendar. Once a Reminder or To Do is created from an e-mail, the app archives the message so that read messages don't clog up your inbox. When users click on the To Do from the list on their home screen, the e-mail is attached for easy viewing so the user can recall the important details.

Users also have the ability to create Projects within the app that incorporate a list of To Dos underneath them. This feature proves particularly useful for senior caregivers who have multiple senior clients or who work with their senior client but also need to accomplish tasks for their own family. Caregivers could maintain a weekly project for each senior client with a list of all the tasks they need to do that week, such as pick up prescriptions, call their family for a check in or attend a doctor's appointment.

The Handle app is available for Apple and Chrome platforms.

Timeful App Managers Caregiver Schedules, Suggests Times for Tasks: Caregiverlist Senior Care App Review

Senior caregivers lead busy lives between their caregiving duties, children or loved ones they need to care for in their own lives and personal errands. The Timeful app allows users to enter the times of their set tasks, such as work or appointments, into the calendar and then suggests times for the flexible tasks, such as making a phone call or answering e-mails.

Especially for caregivers who may not work the same hours every week or need to keep track of their senior clients' appointments in additional to personal appointments, scheduling can quickly become complicated. Having a well organized calendar that incorporates appointments and tasks helps relieve caregiver stress because there's less of a chance of forgetting to do something.

The Timeful app first syncs with all existing calendars on your phone, so if you have a calendar in place through Google calendar or another platform, it will pull all of your appointments from there. Then it asks which one time tasks you would like to accomplish during the day, and it allows you to drag and drop them into the daily calendar around what's already scheduled.

Caregivers who work varying schedules can enter in their work hours and any other standing personal appointments during a given week, and then select the option offered by the app to exercise three times per week. As a reoccurring feature, each week the app will suggest three times for you to spend a half an hour exercising to keep up with your goal. It also displays all day events at the top of the app and allows you to put a check mark next to tasks once you complete them.

The Timeful app is available for Apple platforms.
